Among some of the best primaries are Hutton All Saints C of E and St Helens Catholic schools, both reported as ‘good’ following their latest Ofsted inspections.
The best secondaries in the area include Ursuline Convent High and The Endeavour School which were both rated as ‘good’.
St Martins Senior School is also rated as a ‘good’ school with some ‘outstanding’ aspects, including its teaching in English and the creative arts. It was also praised by Ofsted for its education provision for 16 to 19 year olds.
Local Attractions & Social Clubs in Brentwood
The town has many fine amenities from its numerous national parks to the Brentwood Centre which contains a gym, swimming pool, squash court and concert hall all in one.
Brentwood Park Ski and Snowboard Centre overlooks more than 54 acres of beautiful scenic woodland. There is an exciting variety of dry skiing and snowboarding activities to suit all ability levels as well as a ski shop selling a whole range of ski clothing and equipment.
Weald Country Park offers an idyllic day out alongside nature. Boasting over 500 acres of woodland, lakes, hay and wildflower meadows, deer park, open grassland and spectacular views, Brentwood is a great place to spend the day and each season offers a different perspective.
Housed in a picturesque 19th century building, Brentwood Museum was once a sexton’s cottage. Although small, it offers a fascinating insight into Brentwood life in the early part of this century, with an exciting collection of social and domestic objects dating from around 1840-1950.
