Have you always dreamed of the detached house with the white picket fence and uncrowded schools just a hop and skip away down a cobbled country road? If so, you might be having visions of Epping.

Epping is a thriving market town with a strong sense of community and a modest population of around 12,000.

Set in the leafy confines of the Epping Forest district at the distant end of the Underground central line, Epping showcases the best of both worlds.

On the one hand you have London’s largest area of open spaces, full of green fields that are perfect for outdoor activities and long weekend walks.

At the same time you’ve also good fantastic transport links with an underground station in zone six and a handful of other nearby stations on the Metropolitan line.

Quite a few famous faces have graced the town at one time or another, including singer Rod Stewart, actress Sheridan Smith, TV presenter Ben Shephard and Britain’s most famous war time prime minister and former MP, Winston Churchill.
